DJ SPECIAL K is a professional disc jockey originally from Dayton, Ohio. He comes from a family of musical talent and passion for all genre's of music. His Djing journey began at the age of ten with using his father's single turntable and a dual tape deck. By age sixteen, Special K was making guest appearances Dj'ing at local nightclubs in the Dayton area.
Special K expanded his horizons to Trenton, NJ where he became the director of music for the radio station at Rider University. Here, he performed with artists such as DJ S & S, DJ Red Alert, and Dave Chappell to name a few.
After College, Dj Special K spent many years as a club guest and resident disc jockey at many venues in the Charleston, WV area. He has been an active event Dj for Santa Cruz Band for the past eight years. He has performed with major artists Dj Envy, The Gap Band, and Young Joc.
Dj Special K also helps engineer/produce, record, mix and master music. He has been instrumental in production of music for radio play and television documentaries; Champion of The Queen City: Calvin Brock The Boxing Banker; Charlotte Sonics: When AAU was Real. He is the Co-CEO of Smith Family Entertainment.
